Sweet Demise

November 7, 2011

This day is one
I've so longed for.
I hear the screaming
Never more.

And when I searched
For my fragile heart
I searched in vein,
It's beat had stopped.

I searched for truth
A painful sleep.
I walk right past them,
While they weep.

I feel the pain
Flushed over me
But not a tear
Fell down my cheek.

I cracked a smile
And out the door
Down the Dead Road
Forevermore.

(c)Michael Joseph DeCosta
I'd say this is less 'horror' and just more spooky or something.

Channeled Edgar Allen for this one...
He inspires me a lot!

Just me talking about my own death.
It excites me to write about it... :)

I like the image from this!
my poems sometimes make me wish even more that I could draw or paint :(

The Raven!
Ugh, I know you must have channeled The Raven-

This is splendidly written, man.
And I gotta agree with that, the whole wishing you could draw or paint thing. I often wish I could when I'm trying to describe a character's appearance.
